Charlotte Hornets fans began buzzing on Tuesday night when the story broke that the team had completed a trade that sent Miles Plumlee, Marco Belinelli, and the 41st pick to the Atlanta Hawks for Dwight Howard and the 31st overall pick.
While the team and fans alike may have had Dillon Brooks or Frank Jackson in their heads for the 41st pick, a whole new opportunity opens up for the team. Jawun Evans can be the backup point guard of the Hornets’ future.
There are several big men that could prove to be reliable players for the Hornets, but with the acquisition of Howard, the better move would be to find a backup for star point guard Kemba Walker.
