Kevin Durant has announced, via The Players Tribune, that he is set to sign with the Golden State Warriors. This decision sent shockwaves throughout the NBA and the fallout of his deal with the Warriors is barely coming to fruition. Golden State will need to do a number of things to make this signing complete.
The Bay Area team will need to almost completely dismantle their team from this past season that won 73 games to be able to sign KD to a two-year, $54.3 million deal with a player option in the second year. They will need to renounce the rights to restricted free agents, Festus Ezeli and Harrison Barnes.
