Tippecanoe Health Officer says Purdue NCAA games can be 'carried out safely' with capacity restrictions

LAFAYETTE – With capacity measures set for the NCAA basketball tournament games at Purdue’s Mackey Arena last week, Dr. Jeremy Adler, Tippecanoe County health officer, said he feels that the events can be carried out safely.

Purdue announced last week that capacity for NCAA tournament games at Mackey Arena will be limited to between 12% and 13% for fan attendance. The NCAA will allow up to 25% capacity at venues, and it is up to each venue to determine capacity.

Mackey Arena is set to host two First Four games on March 18 and four first-round games (two each day on March 19 and 20).
