The Charlotte Hornets announced on Tuesday that John Focke will be taking over the radio play-by-play duties for the team.
Focke comes to Charlotte with an impressive resume. He’s done play-by-play for the Minnesota Lynx of the WNBA since 2012 and has served as an executive producer and studio hosts for various broadcasts centered around the Lynx and the Minnesota Timberwolves. He was named 2017 Minnesota Sportscaster of the Year by the National Sports Media Association.
Hornets President and Vice Chairman Fred Whitfield said of the hire, “We are excited to have John join our Hornets family.
