The Charlotte Hornets were able to defeat the Miami Heat in their sixth preseason game. The divisional rivals put up a fight in this exhibition match but the home team came out on top. It was a close game down the stretch after the Heat mounted an improbable comeback but their hopes for a win were cut short.
After losing their opening three preseason games, the Hornets have now won three straight and are looking in good form before opening night. This was also Charlotte’s second straight win at the Spectrum Arena where they have not yet lost a game since the name change.
