The Charlotte Hornets and Roy Hibbert Agree to a One-Year, $5 Million Deal

Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports and The Vertical has reported that “Free agent center Roy Hibbert is finalizing a deal with the Charlotte Hornets.” Woj later reported that the two sides came to an agreement on a one-year deal worth $5 million. General Manager, Rich Cho, and the team’s front office have done great during free agency by signing players to team friendly contracts.

It was reported that the Hornets were linked to Hibbert as they were trying to trade Spencer Hawes to open up some cap space. They were also linked to other big men like Zaza Pachulia, Festus Ezeli, and Jordan Hill.
