Marco Belinelli, the soon-to-be Charlotte Hornets guard, broke his jaw in an exhibition game between his native Italy and Canada on Sunday night, according to Sportando. While not officially a Hornet yet, the team agreed to send the 22nd pick in this year's draft to the Sacramento Kings in return for Belinelli. The trade cannot be officially completed until July 1 due to the salary cap.
Belinelli, like many NBA players, is in Turin, Italy to prepare for next month's Olympic qualifying tournament. Broken jaws typically take a month or two to heal, so it's unclear if Belinelli will recover in time to play for the Italian national team in Rio.
