The Portland Trail Blazers needed a win. They needed a big night offensively. They certainly needed to see Damian Lillard find his shooting stroke.
They got all three Friday night at the Moda Center in a big way on all fronts, winning 125-116 over the Charlotte Hornets, with Lillard scoring a season-high 43.
The Blazers set a franchise record for made threes in a half with 16 on 25 attempts while building an 81-55 halftime lead. The Hornets, who fell behind by as much as 29, did draw to within 118-112 with 1:17 to go in the game.
