A Nebraska shooting guard did not hear his name called during the second round of the NBA draft on Thursday. Brice Williams was hoping to become the first Husker selected in the NBA draft since the Charlotte Hornets selected Bryce McGowens in the second round of the 2022 draft.
Williams had a fantastic 2024-25 season. He averaged 20.4 points on 47.1% shooting from the field and 37% from beyond the arc. The North Carolina native also averaged 4.1 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game.
The shooting guard was named first-team All-Big Ten this past season despite the Huskers failing to qualify for the Big Ten Tournament.
