MRI Reveals a Torn Right Labrum in Michael Kidd-Gilchrist’s Dislocated Shoulder

The Charlotte Hornets have announced that small forward, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, has torn the labrum in his right shoulder for the second time this season. MKG suffered the injury when he dislocated his right shoulder in the third quarter against the Indiana Pacers.

Michael previously suffered the same injury earlier this season when he separated his right shoulder against the Orlando Magic in the preseason. He was forced to miss the first 46 games of the season due to the injury.

The surgery that Kidd-Gilchrist originally had been expected to keep him out for six to eight months but he returned in only three months.
