The Charlotte Hornets officially have a new injury scare to worry about, and it comes with the regular season opener just around the corner.
Forward Marvin Williams suffered a non-displaced fracture on his left middle finger in Monday's preseason overtime victory over the Chicago Bulls. Williams is considered out for the next week, and will be reevaluated on October 25.
This is slightly troublesome, since the Hornets open the 2016-17 regular season on October 26 at the Milwaukee Bucks, and it is far from ideal to not be sure of a key player's status for a game until 24 hours beforehand.
