Lee County deputy arrested for battery & domestic violence

LEE COUNTY, Fla. — A Lee County deputy was fired after he was arrested for battery and domestic violence.

According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO), late Friday night and early Saturday morning deputies responded to the home of LCSO deputy Christopher Doughty for a domestic disturbance.

Lee County Sheriff Carmine Marceno confirmed during Saturday afternoon’s press conference that Doughty was arrested for battery and domestic violence and was terminated Saturday morning.

Doughty was a school resource officer at Palm Acres Charter High School.

He has been a deputy for LCSO since 2007.
