Hornets trade up to the 34th pick, select Devonte Graham

The Charlotte Hornets traded up to the 34th pick and used the selection on point guard Devonte Graham out of Kansas.

As a senior, Graham filled Frank Mason’s shoes as the Jayhawks leader and go to scorer. In his final collegiate season, the Raleigh, NC native averaged 17.3 points, 7.2 assists, and 1.6 steals per game while shooting 40.6% from behind the arc and leading Kansas to a 31-8 record and their 14th consecutive Big 12 title.

Graham slots into the Hornets’ empty backup point guard slot and could bring some much needed outside shooting and general production at the position.
