October 19, 2019 – Hornets Sports & Entertainment President & Vice Chairman Fred Whitfield will host more than 600 guests at Spectrum Center tonight for the 12th Annual Hornets Heroes Gala. The black tie fundraiser, which supports the Charlotte Hornets Foundation, will feature the entire Hornets team in their finest attire and basketball shoes, with ESPN commentator Sage Steele acting as the evening’s host. In addition to the main program, the red-carpet event also includes a cocktail reception, dinner, entertainment and opportunities for guests to participate in a silent auction, raffle and sneaker contest.
In addition to raising funds for the Charlotte Hornets Foundation, the Hornets Heroes Gala also serves as an awards celebration, recognizing individuals for their contributions to the Charlotte community.
