Late Monday night, Shams Charania of ESPN and Rod Boone of the Charlotte Observer reported that the Charlotte Hornets would be signing Drew Peterson to the team’s third two-way slot.
Peterson initially joined the Heat as a summer league player after going undrafted out of USC in 2023. He impressed enough there to earn himself a spot with the Heat in the preseason but was ultimately cut and signed to the team’s G League affiliate. He was only there for about a month and a half before the Celtics poached him with a two-way contract. He was on two-ways with Boston from that point until this month.
