Hornets select Arnoldas Kulboka with the 55th overall pick

With the 55th pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, the Charlotte Hornets selected Arnoldas Kulboka, a 6’10” wing out of Lithuania.

Kulboka spent this past season with Betaland Capo D’Orlando in the Italian Lega Basket, where he averaged 8.3 points and 3.5 rebounds per game while shooting 36.7% from 3 on 4.4 attempts per game. He only shot 36.6% from the field and likely won’t make his way over to the NBA for at least two seasons according to ESPN’s Mike Schmitz.

Mitch Kupchak said in a recent press conference that he anticipated using a 2nd round pick on a draft and stash player, and that became even more likely after the Hornets selected three players earlier in the draft.
