Hornets PG Kemba Walker has another surgery on left knee (The Associated Press)

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -- Hornets point guard Kemba Walker underwent successful surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee.

The procedure performed Monday is expected to sideline Walker from all basketball activities until early July, the team announced.

Hornets team physician Marcus Cook performed the surgery at Novant Orthopedic Hospital in Charlotte. Walker also had surgery on the same knee in January of 2015 to repair a torn lateral meniscus that was causing inflammation.

The 6-foot-1 Walker finished second in NBA Most Improved Player balloting this season after averaging a career-high 20.
