Hornets interviewing Jay Larranaga for head coaching position

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, who’s been hot on the Charlotte Hornets head coaching search, the Hornets will be interviewing former Celtics assistant and current Clipper assistant Jay Larranaga for their head coaching vacancy.

Los Angeles Clippers assistant Jay Larranaga will interview for the Charlotte Hornets’ head coaching job, sources tell ESPN. Larranaga has spent three seasons on Ty Lue’s staff after nine years under Brad Stevens and Doc Rivers with the Boston Celtics.

This will actually be the second time that Larranaga will sit down in front of Hornets brass for an interview, though I don’t think any of the brass are the same this time around.
