CHARLOTTE, N.C. (CAROLINA SPORTS LIVE) — The Charlotte Hornets announced their preseason schedule Monday, but there won’t be any games in the Queen City.
The team will go on the road for its two “home” games in October, to Greensboro and Charleston, South Carolina. This comes as Phase 2 of renovations at Spectrum Center are slated to be completed that month.
“This is the perfect opportunity to host our preseason games in outer markets,” said Hornets Sports & Entertainment Chief Marketing Officer Seth Bennett. “The Hornets are the NBA team of the Carolinas.
