Fans Are Laughing At The Lakers After NBA Draft Trade

The Los Angeles Lakers looked poised to add a major piece when they reached an agreement to trade a package—including Dalton Knecht, Cam Reddish, a 2030 pick swap, and their 2031 first-round pick—to the Charlotte Hornets for center Mark Williams. The deal appeared sealed at the February deadline, but it unraveled when Williams failed the Lakers’ physical, prompting them to rescind the trade.

Lakers General Manager Rob Pelinka later admitted there were “multiple issues” found during the physical, though details were not disclosed (via CBS Sports).

The Hornets were quick to welcome Williams back, who finished the rest of the 2024-25 season in Charlotte.
