Despite Not Having Lottery Pick, the Charlotte Hornets Can Still Add Premium Value In Draft

Will the Charlotte Hornets be selecting one of the most heralded players in the draft when it comes time for them to pick? Probably not. And definitely not unless they trade up, which is a possibility according to General Manager Rich Cho.

But even if the Hornets stay with their 22nd selection, there will still be plenty of players available to them with considerable talent and pedigree. The outcome of previous drafts suggests the gap between a lottery pick and say, the 22nd overall pick, isn’t necessarily as large as one may suggest. And the talent pool in this year’s draft may be no different.
