In this year’s draft, the Charlotte Hornets are hoping that they can get a better draft spot than they got last season. During last year’s draft, the Hornets received the 11th spot in the lottery.
The order of the lottery picks will be announced on May 14, 2019, during a broadcast on ESPN. The teams that will be participating in the lottery draft will be the fourteen teams that did not make the playoffs (some picks could belong to playoff teams).
Last season, the winner of the lottery draft was the Phoenix Suns and they would go on to draft Deandre Ayton with their #1 overall pick.
