Sports Illustrated recently released their list of Top-100 NBA players for the 2016-17 season. Charlotte Hornets‘ power forward, Marvin Williams, made the list and may be ranked higher than expected. Rob Mahoney lists him as the #65 player in the league for this upcoming season.
After not being ranked on last year’s list, Marvin’s breakout season skyrocketed him to a top-70 spot. He had a career year as he averaged career highs in rebounds per game, blocks per game, and shooting from the three-point line. There were doubts surrounding him going into last season but he proved to be a vital part to Charlotte’s success.
