According to Marc Stein of ESPN, the Hornets are not going to let another key free agent escape their grasp.
The Charlotte Hornets signed Marvin Williams two years ago to provide a solid stretch four, and some even better perimeter defense. After an incredible season in a great playoff run, the Hornets saw the value Williams can bring when he's playing his best. Now that the Hornets have re-signed Nicolas Batum they will be looking to get a deal done with Williams ASAP.

Earlier today, the Hornets lost another key free agent from last season in Jeremy Lin.
