Marc Stein of ESPN has reported that Jeremy Lin’s deadline to opt-in on his player option for next season has passed. He is now set to be an unrestricted free agent this summer. He spent his first season with the Charlotte Hornets this past year as he had a great season with the team.
Lin signed a two-year deal that was worth around $4.3 million with the Charlotte Hornets last offseason. The contract included a player option for the second season that was worth $2.2 million. With his great performance last year, he is set to make much more than that on the open market as a free agent.
