Tim MacMahon of ESPN has reported that “Charlotte Hornets small forward Nicolas Batum is expected to meet with the Dallas Mavericks in free agency.” The Mavs are eyeing Nic as a potential replacement for Chandler Parsons who recently declined his player option. He will also be an unrestricted free agent this summer along with Batum.
Dallas may lose Chandler Parsons this offseason as he will be on the open market in free agency. It isn’t clear if he will return to the Mavs or if the team wants to re-sign him to a max contract that he seeks this summer.
