Chris Broussard of ESPN has reported that “besides KD, Lakers’ wish list includes [Hassan] Whiteside, Al Horford, Nic Batum, Harrison Barnes & Ryan Anderson.” Los Angeles is one of the top free agent destinations in league history but they have failed to sign big names in recent years. The Charlotte Hornets have made Batum their top priority this offseason.
The Los Angeles Lakers have a lot of cap space to spend this summer and they could offer Batum a max contract. The Charlotte Hornets would be able to offer Nic one more year on his max contract and more money.
