Alex Kennedy of Basketball Insiders has reported that “Courtney Lee has agreed to a four-year, $50 million deal with the Knicks.” He was receiving interest from many teams around the league including the Sacramento Kings, the Philadelphia 76ers, the Brooklyn Nets, and the Minnesota Timberwolves. It isn’t clear if the Charlotte Hornets had any intentions of re-signing Lee.
The deal with the Knicks will not be finalized until the NBA’s moratorium period ends on July 7th but Courtney seems to be heading to New York next season. He was not a priority for the Hornets this offseason as they were focused on re-signing Nicolas Batum and Marvin Williams.
