In a recent interview, Cody Zeller said that he has “gained 10 pounds since the end of the season.” (hornets.com) The added weight/muscle is an advantage for Cody as he enters the season as the Charlotte Hornets’ starting center. After getting outmatched by a few bigger opponents last year, Zeller has gotten stronger and bulked up for the 2016 campaign.
Cody’s lack of strength was most evident during the playoffs when Hassan Whiteside thoroughly dominated Zeller with his size. Entering his fourth season in the league, Zeller has always been on the leaner side of 250.
