Brandon Miller finds the range for Charlotte Hornets

Through his first four exhibition games with the Charlotte Hornets, former Alabama All-American Brandon Miller had scored 50 points. And it took him a lot of shots.

In two games in the California Classic and two games in the NBA 2K24 Summer League, Miller made 16-of-48 shots, including 7-of-26 on 3-pointers and went 11-of-16 at the free-throw line. With 22, the No. 2 pick in the NBA Draft had more fouls than baskets.

But on Tuesday night with Alabama coach Nate Oats in attendance at the Thomas and Mack Center, Miller put up 26 points in the Hornets’ 97-93 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers in a Summer League game in Las Vegas.
