It was apparent after preseason that Caleb Martin was a shoo-in for a final spot on the Charlotte Hornets roster. With the regular season days away, teams must trim their roster down to 15 players, along with two two-way players. Martin can breathe a sigh of relief now after receiving a contract.
The team announced the news yesterday afternoon. Ahmed Hill, who was on a Two-Way contract, was waived. Martin was then converted into a Two-Way contract, but that was just a necessary hurdle in order to get him on the main roster.
This move to the main roster comes after Martin averaged an impressive 9.
