Yumi Garcia Named C-USA's Libero of the Year

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte volleyball's Yumi Garcia has been named Conference USA's Libero of the Year announced by league officials on Thursday afternoon. Garcia becomes the 49ers first-ever superlative award winner in Conference USA and first for the program since 2008 when Carly Romberg took home the Atlantic 10 honor.

"We are extremely proud that Yumi has be awarded C-USA Libero of the Year," quipped Head Coach Karen Weatherington. "She has made her mark on the program and the league with her passionate, fiery style of play. She is the quintessential libero.
