CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte baseball's Harris Yett has been named a semifinalist for the Buster Posey Award (formerly the Johnny Bench award) announced by the Greater Wichita Area Sports commission on Friday afternoon. This marks the second-straight year Yett has become one of 14 semifinalists and one of three repeat semifinalists from a year ago.
"I think he's the first in our program's history to be named a semifinalist in back-to-back years," quipped Head Coach Loren Hibbs. "I'm proud of him and the way he's developed over the years. He's been a top performer for us behind the plate which has been a primary position for us over the years.
