CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Junior sprinter Jayon Woodard has been named the Conference USA Male Track Athlete of the Week for his efforts in the Charlotte 49er Classic, the conference announced Tuesday.
Woodard ran in three events for the Niners during the opening weekend of outdoor season in his home meet at the Charlotte 49er Classic.
The Raleigh, N.C., native secured two individual wins, one in the 100m and a second in the 200m, setting new personal-bests in both events. Additionally, he was a leg in the men's 4x100m relay team that earned a victory as well.
