CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Charlotte women's soccer program enters its 26th season, and 11th under head coach John Cullen, Friday night when the 49ers travel to the Buckeye State to face Akron. Kick-off between the two sides is set for 7 p.m. inside the Zips' FirstEnergy Stadium.
SEASON OPENER
Charlotte will be seeking back-to-back wins in a season's first contest after knocking off Longwood, last fall, 1-0 in overtime at Transamerica Field. The Niners are 8-1-1 under Cullen in season openers.
