With the beginning of the season looming overhead, the Charlotte women’s soccer team went across the pond for ten days for a trip packed with soccer and bonding.
The team welcomed nine freshman to the squad in an effort to fill the void left by the 2016 graduating class. C-USA Preseason Player of the Year Martha Thomas says that trips like the one they are on will help forge friendships between the players.
“We have a lot of new faces, so it’s a lot to get to know. I think the best way to do that is to go overseas, spending ten days together on an awesome trip,” Thomas said.
