Women’s hoops overcomes slow start against Mean Green

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte women's basketball found itself down 11 after the first quarter but put the clamps down defensively the remaining 30 minutes to rally for a 66-49 triumph Thursday night over North Texas inside Halton Arena. The 49ers held the Mean Green to a combined 9-of-45 (20.0 percent) from the floor starting with the second quarter to remain atop the Conference USA standings.

Charlotte (15-4, 7-1 C-USA) placed four starters in double-figure scoring and was led by an 18-point, 13-rebound double-double from redshirt junior Nyilah Jamison-Myers. It marked her second-straight double-double and third overall as a Niners player.
