KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – It only took 36 holes of the new season for the Charlotte women's golf program to dive into the record books as the 49ers carry their first-ever overnight lead at the Mercedes-Benz Intercollegiate in Tennessee. Charlotte, led by Siarra Stout and newcomer Cecelie Finne-Ipsen who each sit at even par for the tournament tied for second just one shot off the lead.
Stout paced the 49ers, who stood in third after the opening round, after carding her one-under round of 70. In the shotgun start, the sophomore began bogey-birdie-birdie to hold steady at one-under.
