CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Fresh off their first tournament in program history, the Charlotte 49ers women's golf team gets right back to action playing in the Mary Fossum Invitational this weekend. The Niners travel to East Lansing, Michigan for 36 holes of action on Saturday before the final 18 on Sunday.
Charlotte opened up the season last weekend at the Mason Rudolph Championship in Nashville posting three consistent rounds at 300-300-299 for the first tournament total of 899. Ashley Fowler led the 49ers with a two-over tournament of 218 thanks to solid rounds of 71-73-74.
