The women’s soccer team went on their first road trip Friday when they traveled to Atlanta to take on Georgia State.
Charlotte (2-1) was led by freshman Julia Grainda, who scored two goals. Emily Truelove and Perri Bonner each put the ball in the net giving Charlotte the 4-1 edge over Georgia State (1-1-1).
The 49ers wasted no time, registering three shots on the goal within the first nine minutes of the matchup. Truelove struck gold first, scoring her goal at the 9:53 mark. Bonner came up for Charlotte next, posting her goal at 18:05.
Grainda answered a Panther goal with a goal of her own, giving Charlotte the 3-1 advantage right before halftime.
