CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Junior pitcher tossed the fourth perfect game in school history while her offense supplied plenty of support in an 11-0, 5-inning victory over Robert Morris to get the Charlotte softball team off to a strong start in the 2017 Green & White Invitational at the D.L. Phillips Softball Complex Friday. Charlotte's eight-game win streak was then snapped in a 4-1 loss to La Salle in the night cap.
The 49ers move to 9-4 on the season while Robert Morris falls to 2-9 and La Salle gets its started in style at 2-0.
GAME ONE
Wiseman's perfect game was the first for the 49ers' program since Sherry Olekson did it in a 2-0 victory over Youngstown State during the 1998 season and is the first no-hitter thrown since former teammate held the Elon Phoenix without a hit on March 12th, 2015.
