CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte opened strongly, never looked back and dominated the entire game as the 49ers rolled to a 78-49 victory Sunday afternoon over visiting Coppin State. In the win, the Niners led by as much as 35, easily eclipsing their previous largest in-game margin of the season which was 12 entering the contest, and the Eagles were never in front.
