Charlotte Volleyball head coach Karen Weatherington has announced the hiring of Ana Pego as assistant coach. Pego most recently served as head coach for the University of New Haven, an NCAA Division II powerhouse that has earned 13 consecutive NCAA Tournament bids and held the one-seed in last season's East Region.
"We are thrilled to add Ana to the Charlotte 49ers Volleyball family," said Weatherington. "She brings a wealth of knowledge and coaching experience to our program. I am most excited about the passion she has for the sport and the student-athlete experience. Ana joins us at an exciting point in the season and will infuse great energy heading into the camp, recruiting and competitive season.
