Dallas, Texas – Charlotte 49ers sophomore men's tennis player Benjamin Wayand (Cary, North Carolina) was named Conference USA Player of the Week. He is the fourth Niner to earn a Conference USA honor this season. Luca Keist earned Conference USA Player of the Week honors for the third time in his career, January 23. On February 13th, Constandinos Christoforou was named Conference USA Player of the Week. This past September, Oriol Puig Forne was named Conference USA Men's Tennis Player of the Month.
Last weekend, Wayand posted two singles wins and a doubles victory helping the 49ers record a 4-3 win over North Florida at Georgia State, Saturday, and a 4-3 win on the road at 49th-ranked Georgia State, Sunday.
