CHARLOTTE, N.C. – In a game that took over 25 hours to finish due to Mother Nature, Wake Forest out-slugged Charlotte 13-4 in non-conference baseball action. The contest originally began at BB&T Ballpark for 2.1 innings on Tuesday before the final 6.2 finished Wednesday at Hayes Stadium.
Wake Forest (16-6) took advantage of their two runners on with one out when play resumed Wednesday night scoring four in their half of the third. Ben Breazeale drove in the first run with his RBI single to right before Johnny Aiello doubled to left-center to bring in two more.
