CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Leading 2-0 in the best-of-five match, the Charlotte 49ers volleyball team couldn't find a way to take the final set needed as USC Upstate completed the full rally taking a 3-2 (23-25, 16-25, 26-24, 25-17, 15-12) victory on Tuesday night.
Charlotte (5-5) made a big rally of their own to start the night trailing 9-1 in the opening set with Anna Henderson provided the lone kill over the first 10 points. After a timeout, the Niners began their comeback with a Jocelyn Stoner three-kill stretch with Molly Shaw getting in on the action in a 12-9 set.
