CHARLOTTE, N.C. – For the sixth-consecutive year, Charlotte volleyball will open up a new season at home hosting their own Invitational beginning on Friday morning. Kent State, Gardner-Webb and Eastern Kentucky will join the 49ers in Halton Arena for four matches on Friday and two Saturday.
"We're really excited for a new season," began Head Coach Karen Weatherington. "Our goal this year is to defend home court. We play really well at home, but this weekend will be a challenge. We're going to have to play really well to win this tournament. During the preseason, we have seen a lot of development in our offensive system.
