CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte volleyball nearly extended the match in the third, but in the end it was North Texas who took a 3-0 (25-13, 25-17, 27-25) victory over the 49ers in the annual Dig Pink match on Friday night. North Texas improves to 11-7 overall, 5-1 in Conference USA play while the Niners drop to 11-11, 1-5.
"Tonight was tough," began Head Coach Karen Weatherington. "But we were playing for something bigger for ourselves today. I loved the crowd and all the pink shirts, it warms my heart to see. It reminds us that this is just a game.
