FAIRFAX, Va. – Charlotte volleyball extended the school-record win streak to nine after a 3-0 (25-16, 25-20, 25-15) of Loyola-Maryland on Saturday afternoon. The 49ers hit a whopping .353 in the win moving towards the final match of the weekend at 5:00 p.m. vs. Hampton.
Charlotte (12-3) opened up the first set to 15-7 after a pair of early kills from Janell Sparks and Sydney Rowan. Alex Boone paired up with Rowan for one block and another with Jocelyn Stoner leading to the eight-point advantage. After a four-point run by the Greyhounds forced a Charlotte timeout, the Niners put down back-to-back kills from Tatyana Thomas and Sparks for a 20-12 cushion.
