CHARLOTTE, N.C. – All three sets were decided by two points, two of the sets needed extra points, but Charlotte volleyball couldn't find a way at the end going through a tough 3-0 (27-25, 25-23, 27-25) loss to Southern Miss in the annual Dig Pink match. A crowd watching of 1,273 became the 11th-most in program history on Friday night. A 22-dig night by Yumi Garcia moves her into fourth all-time.
"I think we didn't come out with the same level of preparation," began Head Coach Karen Weatherington. "I've seen a much better Charlotte team and the only disappointing thing is we had some opportunities to score and we didn't.
